We launched our six-part Obama book series in 2010 with award-winning newspaper editor Bankole Thompson - who has had three sit-down interviews with Obama - to provide a broad-based review of the Obama presidency. Part analysis, part interviews, the first title in the series, Obama and Black Loyalty, was launched October 2010 at Wayne State University Law School Auditorium Detroit Michigan, with Dr. Bernard Lafayette, notable civil rights leader and top aide to Dr. Martin Luther King, as keynote speaker, and Santita Jackson, the popular talk show host daughter of Rev. Jesse Jackson and close friend of First lady Michelle Obama, as moderator.
